ok, since I have been asked I'll tell you how I do it.

By no means is this original I'm sure but who cares, I thought this up myself ... but it must have been done before.

1, decorate the tube, these are all Zeta's, I use nail polish and or spray paint. I also have a daughter who is in the beauty game and she gave me some nail art bits.

2, Sticky letters, hobbycraft, ebay etc ... just try to match the colour to go with the colour of the tube

3, space it out so the name is in the centre

4, cast it ... these are done with polyester resin. Clear cast I think

4, Turn it ..... do you need instructions ?

That's it ... simples ...

I have made quite a few for family and friends. I have sold 2, 1 was ordered ... my wife's friend and the other the guy just happened to have the same name.

I only make them to order or for gifts. Maybe Christmas will bring a few orders, don't think £35 is too steep

Have fun, they do make a nice gift. Made my son one because he was always losing his pens .... but he lost it even though it had his name on :vangry::vangry:

Cheers

Thanks Brad, just one more question, do you have to seal the stickers with anything before casting?

I haven't yet, but I'm guessing some types of stickers would need something, not sure what.

Maybe
CA, PVA, Spray Laquer ... someone will know

Thanks Brad for enlarging your work thoughts here a Chinese woman sold me a boxfull of her nail art stuff a few years ago when she stopped working with nails. As I get older I find just reaching my toes is quite an acheivement cutting toenails dodgy at best. So I go to a Vietnamese Nail Salon where a beautiful young lady trims toe nails and now fingernails for me. The first time I remember she finished the toes and was reaching for the coloured laquers, we soon reached an agreement this would never happen. Walking past the windows of the Salon the staff all wave vigourously much to the amusement of my wife. I have the same response at Bunnings since I only live four minutes from a huge hardware store of theirs.

Placing names on pens this way works so well Brad.

Peter.
