I was actually looking at the Router set up today at Axminster, but i decided to give it more time to see if i really want to go down this road ... Seeing the work of others, including this box Alex, just may inspire me my friend .. :thumbs:

My respect understanding most pen boxes become desk containers for allsorts of things in strange places depending on how substantial Alex.:thumbs::thumbs:

Yes with hinges the so simple looking pillar hinges require special clearance cuts need to be quality made require thickness such as you have created safest hinges need to be traditional brass also quality and recessed another ball game calling for yet another set of skills or jig making. Establish a cost to make in numbers die of fright at the freight cost and the need for substantial packaging those boxes available become very attractive.

All the best Peter :thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:

Well done Alex. I've got some concealed bullet hinges if you want some, the same as David (jimjam) uses.
