Inside out Cherry lamp

I made this lamp for my granddaughter after she saw the one I made for her mam.
It is made from wild cherry which I cut down & prepared myself.

Involuted turning at its very best mate. Seen a demo last month on doing it but it was nothing as stunning as that Bill.

Carefull matching grain you acheived Bill by split turning such a special lamp with the timber shaping done in such a way I have never seen before. A complete George Washington sequence cutting the tree down to the finishing of the outstanding lamp. I have admiration the way you exposed the central area simply using quality fittings. This lamp will become a family heirloom as no doubt the previous one you made.A work of art from a craftsman.
