Wow! I didn't expect such a positive response. Thank you very much. It's your comments which help me to move forward. I always like turn outside the box if I can.
Ray you need to dress the timber on a planer/thicknesser to get it straight & square. I make my my timber 50mm x 50mm x 400mm long.
Matt it's not really too much work & like any job you do the more you do the easier it becomes as you learn easier techniques.

That is truly beautiful, I could look at it for hours. I echo everything penpal said and I too like the small feature in the internal fitting.
