That is one good review Terry.

Really well finished pen and superbly matched. As usual presentation is top notch.

I like the look of the pen nicely designed Phil.

I can see it being popular in the right market and will sell if it has that quality feel as well as it does look.

Well done both.

What a great job Terry - Thanks for agreeing to take a look for me. I need to speak to you about the tolerances. They can still be adjusted before full production, it's not too late.

Yes, if you get the middle ring the wrong way round on the centreband, you end up with one groove wider than the other, and the gentle curve on the CB doesn't flow quite right. There's a little chamfer on the inside of the ring to identify which way round it goes, but maybe I should have written that at the top of my letter instead of the bottom - sorry.

When they go on sale, they will also have a Beaufort Ink nib with them, which we are currently having made in Germany, not the horrible IPG nib that was with the sample.

I have some feedback from two or three turners who are not on this forum, so it will be interesting to compare your findings with theirs Terry. There are also a couple more in circulation with people who are on this forum, so hopefully there will be a couple more reviews soon. (One is missing in the post apparently, but I hope it will turn up soon).

Hi Phil. Wait until you get the other reviews in before you look at tolerances as others may have a different view. My components went into the tubes ok but it was just an observation on my behalf.

It looks are really classy pen, especially as a fountain pen. Somehow fountains always look that little more elegant to my eyes. Can't wait to have a go myself once they become available.

A very nicely turned pen Terry and a good match pen to blank.

For me the brushed band either needs to be on all three (top centre band and bottom) or not there at all as I feel it does not look right and looks like it was placed there as an afterthought. Other than that I like the overall design of the kit

Excellent work on the pen, Terry - it looks very tasty indeed. Re actually buying any? I think not, due to my reluctance to make pens that are not postable - it only has to roll onto the floor once and land nib first - then it's a case of calling out the RAC!

Bob.
