Nicely turned and finished pens there, its a shame about Purple Heart, there must be some secret to keeping it purple as I've got some that are still a lovely deep purple after a 18 months or so and others go patchy.

Strange that, I have a Purpleheart bowl on my desk at work which is now best part of 5 months old and still bright purple, I expected that to have faded by now.

Nice pens all the same, very nicely turned and finished.

Well you could say you have made them slightly different colours so you know which is which. All the purpleheart I have done has been really purple except the very first pen I turned on an Axminster course, it was brown when finished.

You can turn P/H brown when turning to much bevel rub heat build up sanding to long especially with the finer grits again heat build up can turn it brown that's why a lot of newbies have this problem with it so stay cool dude
