Never turned Lilac before Neil, this piece has a faint look of Olive .. Looks good .. :thumbs:

Thanks chaps.
I have to say this is wonderful stuff to turn. Just the bevel rub of a gouge gives a burnished shine to the wood.
Had to take the smallish Lilac out, to make way for the drying shed last year. The sap was rising and most of the meagre bits I saved ended up splitting.:rolling:

Not sure if I've got any more, but I think Billy bought a bit when he was last here.
I'll definitely be on the lookout for more of this stuff!
