That looks a very nice grain. I hear there's a shortage of Lilac trees around here! the special BRANCH is out in force to find the culprits.

Yep, I've tied gorse. Threw more of it on the fire than I managed to turn due to seasoning issues, but one hell of a talking point on the finished piece.

Unfortunately not Simon.
We took a small Lilac out to make way for the drying shed last summer. It was only big enough to get a few blanks, but really was the wrong time to be cutting, and most of them split! I will be on the lookout for more.

The kit is the Gun metal plated Omega from Taylors Mirfield.
