Doug, Will you write a picture book in your own style and send me a copy?
I could look at your work all day long mate, love the way you do this and keep us in suspenders waiting for the next installment init?

Suspenders, yes that pic I posted of Stevenage comes to mind again.

I knew I had an off cut of 26mm Oak veneered MDF in the panel store somewhere but it still took 3/4 of an hour this morning to find it & get it out :goesred:
Once found & the store re-stacked the top was cut to size with the track saw

The raw edges were then lipped with solid Oak & clamped

A good sanding tomorrow & it'll be ready for some finish, acrylic lacquer being the finish of choice.

George, there's details of my workshop build & set up here designer wood workshop: March 2013 it's a little out of date as its 10 years since I built it & much has changed.
I can no longer update the blog which is more to do with my computer ineptness than anything else that's why I started my Facebook page as its easier to upload to than a blog.

Some progress this morning, clamps removed, lippings planed followed by a good sanding & now the top is drying after a coat of acrylic sanding sealer.

I also gave the base a good sanding & a coat of sealer.

Hopefully as it only needs a couple of hours between applications I should manage a couple of top coats as well today. :thinks:

I was sure I had commented on this but I can't find a post by me. I must have had one of my type it and then get distracted and do something else moments. :whistling:

It is a beautifully made piece Doug. Nice clean modern design and excellent craftsmanship.
