Well managed to get some of the pile cut and I mean some only just made a dent and so far now have 30 smaller pieces which some may still produce more than 1 blank. Lots of these have a very nice piece of flame in them.
I had to stop as I was starting to feel as though I had done too much and the wife said she did not want me in hospital for Christmas. Once this lot is in a smaller state I will then go back over them and tidy them up into proper blanks of my choosing. There are also some which I have cut for hollow forms but no pen blanks as the bits that are ideal sizes don't have any nice grain.

Another day cutting logs. While all around everyone is having snow we have not had any so next best thing make my own this is what I call woodturners snow. The first picture shows how much I have got left to do and the second the wood which has been cut so far. In total there are 48 pieces some as 16"+ across some I may even get more than one blank from. And the last photo is one of the pieces showing the grain.

After a very slow start to the day because of a trip to the hospital for a cardiac appointment, I managed to get some more of logs cut this now has produced 25 more blanks I am now running out of room to store them and I still have more logs to cut as well as being told there is another load coming tomorrow. Now what a shame that you all live so far away:face:

I meant to take these yesterday but it got to dark. These smaller pieces will make 8" or 9" bowls. and after a tidy up what is still left none done today so hopefully get the last bit done tomorrow. The other stuff that was meant to arrive did not as they were busy. This is giving me a breathing space to get all of the bits a new home

Not before Christmas unfortunately lol

The end is in sight not many more to cut this now brings the total to 100 pieces plus whatever I get out of the small pile of trunks. Next problem is sorting the storage out to get them all in.
