Jepp, let the chase begin. :) I think I will set a target, all new tools/machines for turning must be bought with money earned from pen turning. :D (I will never live up to it but, I will try!)

Worth trying the old set up even if it is just for fun then don't bother with it again once you have your lathe which, will be so much better.

Wounderful! Thanks for the pic!

Here you go, just remove the chuck, clamp the base to the D/Press table.
The bearing at the base is an Evaporation Air Conditioning unit bearing, with an old brass dart that was modified, this was a perfect fit with a aluminium shim ie beer can.
