Penpal
Grand Master
Both Seamus and Don Ward live near the top of Texas so for Seamus I cut an outline map to scale of the State of Texas mounted it on a base board of Instrument grade Tasmanian Blackwood fitting two Aussie pennies near where they live and half pennies of the birth yr of Seamus and his wifes respective fathers. Framed mounted it and used Australian animals cast in pewter on the top left. He has mounted this in his workshop. In exchange he made two pen blanks enclosing 1. USA Quarter cut out unnecessary detail of the state of Utah for my daughter who lives near the coins feature the joining of the Railroad from both ends showing an engine each way facing, commemorates the opening up of this State. 2. A quarter from Washington State featuring Washington significant for a family association in the 1700,s with this man. I have yet to turn these, match them to a suitable kit with a suitable Aussie timber half.
