Thanks everyone not so big only a 9 inch lathe and yes I use it a lot they dont make them as strong these days the beds were cured outside for several years before milling and building.
I have one, but don't know how to use it. I have a 1940's era South Bend 9" Model 9A metal lathe. It is about the size of a small car. I inherited it from my grandfather about ten years ago. I would love to learn to use it, but barely have time to do my wood turning. I just don't have the time to dedicate to the learning curve. My husband has done a little turning on it with my grandfather years ago.
