After a sleepless night questioning my very existence I have completed my first ever Omega a facelift.
Everything is personal preference Peter. When the lid is posted if feels very well balanced IMHO.Dan the pen looks fine closed but like most kits disgusting when the top is removed this to me is how so many pens turn out very little real thought is ever given in manufacture to long neck to the tip the graduation is mostly elongated and awkward. Pens that would charm the populace often fall down in this regard. I have hesitated for ages over making this my personal comment the main reason I dont stray far from the Slimline with Streamline centre band. One thing the centre band does IMHO is allow changes in design between the two halves or emphasise grain matching.
Kind regards Peter.
I have had first hand experience of taking these apart and redoing them. I'm sure you will be just fine. These look absolutely fantastic, to my uneducated eyes
I have ordered these, together with Jr Gentlemans Pen Kits from Dan, to make as Christmas gifts....
Giving myself plenty of time to buy something else if these don't work out
These look absolutely fantastic, to my uneducated eyes

I hope you're referring to the pen kit Gillian and not to Dan's woodturning !!!!!! LOL
