Alex, I am in the process of making a few of my own tools as well.
Following Brian's design which he showed us on the Basingstoke meet. Got all the bits together now, just got to figure out the different tips I want to grind them to.
Will post them when I have got one together.:winking:

ye might have to but need to make some handles i have a go with one to night to see how well it cut and it like a super heated knife though butter

No that was just a simple milled out pice the hardest bit was turning the round one to size

Alex curious which allen headed screws you used the seat the tools looks like some are round raised but not countersunk and the wrong size do they appear to lock down ok? Commendable effort are the cutters the ones designed for mass use on thicknessers?

The reson for useing them is they are high tensile
