I agree see no reason not to myself sound choice there must be good reason to have strength there a stray screw of the softer stuff could prove dangerous if a catch occurs.

Very nice job. I especially like the round one. I made mine from a set of inexpensive small pry bars. One of them I left the bend in the bar for hollowing. I included one of the little pry bars to show what I started with. Nice thing is they already have handles. I actually bought the screws from Easy Wood tools. They sell them in case you lose one. Their tools were just WAY too expensive, though.

That is a good idea Sharon I may do that when I get around to doing mine in the new year
