The worst thing about a democracy is that everybody can have a vote (say!). When I used to chair the Head of Departments meetings on board a ship, first thing I did was to take away all the chairs and put a milk crate under the ends of the table and I started the meeting with the cordial greeting "One man, One vote and I've got the bastard". The meetings went from two hours with coffee to around fifteen minutes without.
In this case you've got "the" vote!

I haven't been here as a forum member long but what I saw before I joined and in the short time that I have been around here, are a number of broadly, like minded folk, many with a wonderful knowledge of this wonderful hobby, all willing to freely offer advice and teachings whilst other are willing to listen & learn in a pleasant even jocular way.
The above cannot be found in too many other forums I have seen lately, all you folk and especially Jim have given us a very enjoyable place to meet, chat, joke, teach & learn.
I for one am a very happy PenTurner, long may the status quo remain

Well, I never expected this when asking for suggestions..
A little background on the rankings, when I opened up the forum I decided to make some ranks as I never came across any on other forums and thought that adding them could be fun, especially with the colours, and yes Pink was put in purposely but if you notice it came after 1000 posts .. This was because if the forum attracted members I knew that if they are still around after 1000 posts they would see and understand why it was in there .. And to date the Pink has given us some debate and lots of fun .. Also I felt that it would be like a pat on the back as members passed through the rankings and also my way of saying “Thank You” for making this forum what it is .. We stop at Green where to be honest I had never in my wildest dreams thought that we would get so many members reaching this target in such a small time, how wrong was I ..
They are for fun, but also a little reward is given at each level you reach, Where at Legend rank you have all that is available ..
I really do encourage debate and discussion and let threads run as long as we don’t insult or offend anyone, we have slightly gone off track here so I believe it is best to close this so we are all still friends and do not fall out with each other over something so trivial ..
