Does anyone have a contact number for Teknatool agents here in the UK. I have tried DVR Technologies who are listed on Teknatools US website but they are either ex directory or not on the phone. They dont answer emails on their gmail address either. I am having problems with a Nova Comet 2 that I got yesterday.

Have you tried Record Power I think they are a dealer for Tekna. (Might be wrong)

From what I have read/picked up Record have parted company from them and do their own line now. Might be worth asking them if they have contact details though.

Nope they couldnt help.

If you bought it new go back to the supplier for info.
If you bought it second hand take it back.
Might help to direct you if we knew the issue?

Robbie all I can see is what you say mixed messages so far the problem may be little to do with agency but hope you convey more to them lots of Comet users around. From over here Nova kicked off in New Zealand were always remote in the way they did operate discontinued a lot of things found it hard to hold agents trust you come out of it OK. Lot of water under the bridge with the name.

It's brand new via Amazon. The problem is the spindle is warped or off centre. I have taken a video on the iPhone to show whats happening. I am holding an allen key just touching the shaft at a couple of points with the lathe running at it's slowest speed. An experienced opinion would be appreciated. I have contacted Amazon who are trying to find a UK contact.

Thank's Peter. Initially I was hoping for a UK contact number as I suspect the spindle is warped, though it could be a misaligned bearing I suppose. I was hoping if I contacted someone in the UK they could send a replacement spindle to try rather than go through the hassle of returning it some something that easily fixable.
However the number Amazon has given me is in Estonia. Not exactly a local call!!

Thank's Dan. Just tried Toolpost but they said I will have to go through Amazon. I got the impression they had some involvement as when I asked if they were agents the reply was not at the moment.

Looking at the vid, so wood eye init?
Horrible casting on the cases two, no substance to it, very poor quality in my view.

I am sure I will sort something soon. But thank's for all the advice.

And just for the record badger's arses are not rough. They are smooth, silky and satisfyingly yielding. Or so I am told. :mooney2:
