I made my money back from starting pen turning by selling Corian and wood slimlines for £6 each,sold quite a few at this price to friends then started selling online but put price up to £7.50 posted,still making enough profit for it to be fun and i can buy more tools :bwink: won't be buying a mansion any time soon though

See Jim's comments! There' a market for everything, I don't sell the same pens at burghley horse trials as I do at Christmas markets, there' no all encompassing answer, it's a case of get out and find out for the different sales environments. Every show is different.
