Evening all.

I have been approached by Penn State's wholesale department with regards to stocking their kits.

Do people kit their kits (I would imagine yes) and if so which kits would you like to be available in the UK.

This is very early days. I personally would need to be able to offer the kits at the same converted price as people could purchase them direct from the USA in order for it to work out but i am keen to here what people think on the idea.

I personally like the following:

Over Under shotgun kits FP & RB
Vertex FP & RB

What do people think.

Thanks

Dan

Actually a number of their kits could be good sellers here - the major reason most people don't buy them is that PSI are a pain in the a**e to deal with. If you can correct that (And I think you can) you might be onto a winner. The only concern I have is that they will want you to hold large stocks (at your expense) and they have a HUGE range.

Swings and roundabouts, I guess ...

I like the Vertex too, in fact I've often thought about ordering some to try. Not a fan of their ornate kits though a bit too OTT for me.

The vertex click and the pencil are very good pens Dan and sell well as they are one of the only pen sets that appear to be well designed to sit in either a set or individually, every other set I can think of the ball point is an appauling after thought, for example the JR Gent ballpoint, the atrax, the Virage ball point, all shocking!
Broadwell nouveau sceptre is a beautiful pen, the guardian is very popular with those who have carpule tendon syndrome or whatever it is called along with arthritis sufferers but is unfortuantely an aesthetic car crash, other than that load of pants, Id rather go to that bloke up in Mirfield, apparently hes got some decent kits.

It would be very nice Dan to come to you for a variety of kits which we know will be at very competitive prices. My view is just be careful on how much stock they get you to take on board. I am sure that your business acumen will stand you in good stead and if you do go ahead with this development you will do well

I agree with Neil, I think he covers my reply quite well..:winking:

Jim has fair comment while I understand that you could compete with the likes of e bay suppliers but that's what it would become. A competition.

Or would it as you have other "bespoke" kits attracting customers in to the shop..:thinks: I see where you are coming from. .

Having said that getting different "quality"kits is what it's about for me.

My son in law and his mate had the the sole distribution rights for Australia for a huge Coy in America their minimum monthly orders were fair and reasonable then came the blackmail demands and the stock shortages at the wrong time so called wholesale blokes here in Aus who welched on their stock demanding further cuts etc who overordered wanted returns impossible demands from forum members in Australia, the ranges were enormous so all the previous thoughts expressed can come true. I venture members of this forum who buy quantities do so direct anyway, quite a circle of experiences. Take care mate it can bite you on the bum.,

Kind regards Peter.:thumbs::thumbs:

In fairness, so far their terms seem reasonable and dare i say even:fingers: helpful.
