Peter, I really like the abalone pen and I would like to try that myself, but I'm a bit confused about the actual abalone. Is it real shell or plastic imitation? Where do you get yours? I've been experimenting with watch parts too, but there is still some work to do there!

It's supposed to be real shell cut very thinly and laminated to a substrate, but I am not really sure. I got it from this guy. It came in 2mm strips, but he doesn't seem to do the strips now although with a sheet you can make the strips as wide as you want, so maybe less joints.

That really is a beauty Peter - lovely satin classy finish :thumbs::thumbs:

It's actually a high Gloss finish, it's just the way I photographed it so that there wasn't much reflection.

Very impressive selection there Peter

I know I have done lots more but can't find photos maybe I didn't photograph them.
