Made this hollow form from Olive Ash with a Rosewood finial. I used the colours to see what it would look like trying to enhance the grain. Chestnut spirit stains were used and the 3 colours were yellow and green and orange and then I over blended the 3 colours again with the yellow. The hollow form was the buffed using the Beals buffing system.
The overall height of the hollow form is 260mm including the finial. The finial on its own measures 75mm.

Errr...It's a lovely turning, Terry, but I would have preferred having it in the original wood colour.

Out and declared colours so informal a presence topped off with a very formal finial. An attention getter conversation piece Terry what a way to go mate having fun is important, one for the mantlepiece.

Very impressive. It is nice to see something a bit experimental from time to time. Beautifully turned and finished.
