Thanks for the comments Gents. A mixed bag of comments for sure but what I expected with the colours. Although the photos are clear the piece certainly looks better in the hand. I appreciate a lot of turners don't like colours on wood but I like to experiment to see what I can achieve and will continue to do so as I think it will help me make better forms in the long run. :thumbs:

I am with you on the experimenting side Terry, i also like going away from the norm .. The piece looks good, with a superb looking finial and lid .. :thumbs:
