Got the Turners voucher and yes it does not work for the proedge. Shame because Turners were expensive and this would have put them in pole. Shame the voucher says 20% off of everything. A bit more transparency would be appreciated. Sorry TR but the vouchers misleading it's not actually 20% off everything is it!:down:

I saw this email this morning.. there is fine print at bottom saying excluding machinery. .

I am another for the pro edge.. and am using ceramic belt at the moment and doing a good job for me. I got my one from Ed and got good deal I am sure if he comes on he maybe able to do something for you??

Always look to the classics for a sensible answer. Shekspeare knew a thing or two, even back then...

The tool stays cooler with ceramic over a/oxide or zirconium. 120grit is good enough to do most subtle re-shaping and 60grit is only needed of you're going to do major reshaping too a big scraper or turn a standard gouge into a fingernail profile for instance.

Speak to Ed Oliver. I don't think I'm speaking out of turn when if I say he'll be happy to guide you in terms of requirements and price matching.

use proedge for lathe tools and does very good job gets the angle for the tools right every time but I still sharpen my woodwork chisels and plane blades using Trend 6 inch diamond stone and a home made leather strop by hand.
