Angelo,
I have always known Purpleheart turn brown after I have turned it down. I have found that it comes back to colour when left outside in normal light, i guess leaving near a window would do the same trick.
Summary: Once finished, I place it outside, or in your case put it in the window, it doesn't take too long to come back to colour. Once the colour is back, I then apply a very small amount of sanding sealer, then leave it to dry, these blanks were left over a week as i prepared them last weekend .. Once dry i then apply the finish ..
Hope this helps ..
