Smart! I was wondering how it stood up to the heat of the ally whilst turning but all looks good. Be interesting to see how wide a channel you could safely do and polish...

Hi,

I suppose with such light cuts not much heat is generated.
I am going to try Alumilite resin, so I will do a test on a wider channel.

Love the Video Paul, well done mate, good result too, seems to me that turning of all that expensive Resin is quite a waste, well of course that is only my opinion and i'm probably wrong, I usually am in here but that's me :rolling: Love the way you are experimenting, keep going mate!

I am always playing around with stuff, keeps me active, I have tried doing bits with Poxy resin with a bit of colour before which was very cheap and easy to do also with coloured bottle tops melted on a pen. I will try and post a few bits on a new thread that you can look at or "laugh at", any way, well done again mate....

Cheers Ted,

I will keep a look out for your thread.

I would probably save a heap if I cast in round tubes, but I do like to pour in the open top silicon.

My work has started to slow down now, so hopefully I will get plenty of time in the shed to start casting.

Regards
Paul.
