Ed seeing the detail in your pen its terrific mate and you know what from my perspective it is quite short in the kit from the nose end. A great failing in so many kits that look beautiful until uncapped some quite ghastly with excessive metal from the tip end also the poor design IMHO. The finish is dignified also great to me. I rarely post pens even if they do allow for that except one fountain pen that when open is far too small to use without posting that was sent to me as a swap from the US one time. David has an alternate top section for Roman Harvest however your pen convinces me I like the original.

Well mate with the bogey timber may it last forever and given the ease with which you say it turned you gave it the best chance for lasting.

Kind regards Peter.

Peter I entirely agree with your findings The RH is much to small for most hands to write comfortably with and I believe the section to be not very ergonomic. All in all a poor design from a users point of view.
