A Sierra Click pen and pencil set in Bog Oak. Unfortunately its a bit difficult to capture the grain of the wood in a photo.

Why do you avoid it?

Great set bud. I received some this morning and when I receive my order of (yet more!) Sierra kits, I think this piece just has to be turned.

Bog Oak is very much like Marmite, affraid i am with David on this .. I had very poor results when i tried using it, i bought ten blanks and if i remember correctly 5 or 6 of them went in the bin .. Never bothered with it since .. I know that the pieces i bought could have come from a very poor source but i doubt that i would try it again .. But i have seen some wonderful pens on this forum alone to say that it may well have been down to a bad patch that i had received ... :winking:
