Why do you avoid it?

Great set bud. I received some this morning and when I receive my order of (yet more!) Sierra kits, I think this piece just has to be turned.

That's a very nice piece, the stuff I get needs a lot of tender car as its a bit flakey, its also a lot blacker too.

The bog oak pens I made a month or so ago all turned nicely as long as the tools were sharp. As far as selling them is concerned I wish I had a bog full , they all sold within seconds of explaining what the wood was.

Last batch I got was quite tender too. I lost most of one blank due to a split, only got a stylus out of it, lost another on the lathe when it shattered, but that may have been me!

The rest was OK, but this lot (from the same supplier) looks much better.
