Very interesting grain pattern. At first glance it appeared to be crotch figure. Makes a stunning pen. Well done.

It's from the crotch area Terry. The tree went from single trunk to multi stemmed at one point. This caused a natural bowl which obviously held water, and caused the rot to set in. I only ended up with small blocks from this area by the time I cut the rot away, but they are all similarly marked.
