Took a tree down about 10 weeks ago, the boring stuff went in the log shed though I kept a few pieces back, that looked a bit more interesting.
When the nice man, who bought my Union Jubilee turned up yesterday, we spent some time talking about, and looking at wood. (as you do).
I noticed this piece was trying its best to become kindling, so turned it today as a practice piece.
Wall thickness (2 to 3mm) varies slightly, as I had to support the outside of the bowl with my hand, as I took the finishing cuts.
Bloody thing was wobbling like a jelly!
I'll let it dry, then take some more pics to show how it moves.
