The only streamlines I now buy are the 16K Titanium Gold and the Platinum.

For the relatively small increment in price I also have moved to buying higher quality platings, having said that, I buy the gun metal options also, they show off corian, and the lighter woods much better than the chromes and golds.

I'd give them a go at that price. But I prefer the slimline with a different clip (as the photo below), not the same clip as on a slimline (personal taste)

From all the anecdotal evidence I have heard gun metal plating seems to be harder than the gold, mind you white bread might be harder than the gold.

I still buy the streamline centre-band as I have a ton and a half of slimlines that I won't turn unless it has the streamline CB. I am saving all the slimline CBs because sooner or later I will get an idea how to use them for something.

String them on a shoelace, tie the ends together and you've made a necklace

You have just inspired me, give them to my grandaughter she is into loom bands and I let her wind me round her finger to buy almost 8000 bands, I am sure she will come up with a plan. If I used a shoelace how would my shoes stay on:bwink:

Would you like a contribution, I have over 500 of the bloody things!

I will show her them let her cogitate for a bit and see if she comes up with something. She is making loom bands for a schoolmate who had died of cancer and wanted to make a loom band that would stretch as far as the moon, he died before he could realise his dream and his brother is trying to reach the goal on his behalf, so she has been working overtime on it.

Thanks for the offer. They must be useful for something.
