When I try this I’m thinking of using my bandsaw and then sanding the faces flat. Do you do something similar?

All my cuts are done on the tablesaw. I find that the bandsaw never leaves that clean a cut and I don't want to have to sand tiny pieces.

Saw stop and attach small pieces to a large piece to cut. Attach by tape or glue.

Now retired I can spend a bit more time on construction.
The truth be known, I prefer the design and blank making aspect. Not too many blanks get onto a kit these days.
