Hi,

I made this pen for a work mate, first wood pen for 3 months.

Tiger wood or Goncalo alves is a beautiful timber to turn. It is a hard wood from Mexico down to Brazil and at 2,170lbf it's quite a hard wood to turn.
I use a round nose scraper on most pen blanks even on Erinoid resin as it gives a good finish with minimal sanding.
Pen kit is a rose copper fancy with a Taiwanese mechanism.

And I'm quite happy with it.

All the best

Lance.

Hi,

thanks for your kind replies, I'm always nervous about showing pens I make but i do appreciate any feedback.
I don't really sell my pens as I asked the person who has it to make a donation for me to a charity of there choice.
I live turning in wood, haven't done one for a few months and I have a very wide range of woods over 20 different species and some I never herd of like goncalo alves.

All the best and keep turning

Lance
