There is a chapter on them in 'Turning Pens and Pencils' by Christensen & Burningham, which was first published in 1999, so they must go that far back....and beyond.

They go back a lot more than that Ed and they were almost £7 each

Again, I think I have some old CS catalogs that date back to early 90's somewhere and they were in there then if I remember rightly.. SWIMBO will go daft if I start to unearth much more stuff..:winking: Just got that look when I asked where it was..:funny:

Well Jim you have taken us down memory lane for some of the oldies on here.. :thumbs:

Anyway, I hope you have fun making it, but as others have said, unless you have done some pen turning before I would hold back on them and make a few slimlines..:thumbs:
