Just finished a Wassail Bowl in Yew for a friend of a friend. It was going to be in Oak and my thanks go to Paul Middleton who invited me to his house to have a root through his stash!! But the Oak log wasn't quite wide enough for the guy who wants it. 250mm high X 150mm across the top

Only one thing I would be a little concerned by the use of yew with any food or drink contact as yew is toxic but nicely turned

It's a lovely piece of wood and a great looking bowl.

Stunning piece of wood. Great shape too. Nicely turned.

I'm sure yew used to be used and ends up poisoning people? The leaves are a killer. One if the more informed chaps will be along.

Yew nail that one Steve. OK so someone had to say it.

Looks well turned and finished. I hope it is well sealed especially with the way yew can split.

Very nice
But not the best wood to make a drinking vessel out of as nearly all parts of the Yew tree are considered toxic and poisonous to humans :nonono:
