Get the samples send them out and you will get the reviews as to the quality of the kit. They do look good though. If you need any volunteers I could do some and donate to Pens 4 Heroes or for your charity.

I like the shape and style Dan, the click mechanism needs to be a premium quality as well to keep up the TM standard.

If the click isn't reliable then move away from it and have a twist pen.

im sure you will make sure the quality is right as well.

But like the looks of it..

Looks pretty good.. would you be looking at pencil mechanisms also? Looks like kit would lend itself nicely?

Very retro. I guess it depends on the quality of the click mechanism if they would sell though.

I agree with this suggestion and others. Clean simple lines that may have higher resale potential if offered as a pen and pencil kit. But as I have only sold one pen these last six months then I have obviously have :nooidea:

I agree that in order for it to fall into the TM range it will need have a high quality click. How i find and specify said click is going to be the headache. :fingers:

I like it, it has the looks of a proper classic click pen with style and quality built in.
Until the loonies cover it in plastic and make it a gaudy garish cheap nasty looking object.
Whether it is or not will be in the testing.
Looks like the click is the same as the Vertex, that is the only mechanism that would be acceptable to me init?

I have been offered samples of a new kit. what do people think?

The clip and click fitting look identical to a kit called the Manhattan, although your photo shows a shorter barrel and a longer nib fitting. The Manhattan is possibly THE worst kit I have EVER come across by virtue of the fact that absolutely every part of it is so incredibly tinny and taccy, and the overall design is too fat for its style.

Your piccies do look more elegant than the Manhattan however, because of the longer nib fitting, and if you can up the ante on build quality of the fittings, I think it could fill a gap for a good click pen. The problem, as you have already posted, is that all the click mechanisms that come out of Taiwan are the same, presumably sourced from the same place, and are not great.

Definitely the option of a pen and pencil set would be good, but not in huge numbers. I don't find there to be much of a call for pencils but I'd like a few to have in stock. Others might find more call for them :thinks:
