Hi Bill, I have had a look at his tumblers on his Webb site, that's what gave me the idea.
They look very good. I think he sells em at 70 Euros a pop !

I just would like a couple for myself. Look forward to seeing your picture.

That looks good to me Bill. I guess, like a barrel it needs to be kept wet so needs to be used often

That's exactly right Paul. I don't even wash or dry mine out, whiskey & timber are antiseptic so no worries there. It's the one thing Joe said, once you use your tumbler keep using it or it may crack & leak. It adds a lovely flavour to the whiskey especially a single malt. I like Connamarra Irish whiskey which is the only Irish pleated whiskey & is 57.9% volume, cask strength. Beautiful!!!:drunked::drunked:

I like a drop of whiskey myself but not he single malts that I've tried so far as they're too peaty. I like a good quaffing whisky such as Jamiesons or Balentines.... however I'm open to suggestion

HiPaul, Connamarra is the only peaty Irish whiskey so any other Irish should suit you. I also like Bushmills & as far as Scotch goes MCallans is a nice whisky. Glen Farclas is another you might like.

I wouldnt bother dont think they seal
The barrels they store it in and just let
The whiskey impregnate the wood.

Oh yes I like Bushmills and Black Bush as well Bill. I haven't heard of the others but it would be silly not to try them.

Aye just keep trying them Paul you will find others you like. It's a great experience trying them out, there's only 600 types of scotch apparently so a few to go yet.:drunked:

You are right Turnaround they don't seal the barrels & you don't seal the tumbler, that's the point the whisky does sink into the oak & that gives it a lovely flavour when you drink it out of the tumbler.
