Looks good to me fella, was it much harder to sand and finish with it being end-grain?
Funnily enough no. It cut more or less the same as usual, with very little sanding needed.

I cant help noticing the huge variations in the colour of Olive grown in the UK and over here the predominate background over here is much whiter in the sapwood.
