decided to drill out some acrylic blanks i received from dans.dilled the first 2 no problem.but the third one justed exploded.i drilled with 7mm pilot first then drilled for omega roller.i have drilled loads of acrylic blacks and this is the first time this has happen.any ideas what went...
I have made pens out of wood and acrylic, i have also made two pens out of polyester one a total disaster and one that is absolutely beautiful when viewed in sunlight. It was more difficult to turn in that i had to take very small cuts but that was well made up for the finish. But the stink...
A TM Alpha dressed in a beautiful polymer clay blank made by Natalia & sent to me to trial. It is finished with acrylic lacquer & buffed using Farecla 300/500 cream.

Yet another acrylic pen, this one for my niece. The pen kit is the Duchess pen, nice stones, so a typical girlie pen.
She wishes to become a journalist, so a nice pen is a must!

Having never turned Acrylic before I though I best give it a try and see what all the fuss is about.
I like the results but must say I still like wood better, although I think that acrylic is easier to work, well this one anyway.

How many of you use the acrylic display tubes?
I use them to store the pens for safe keeping until they are sold or if I ever need to take them to a fair / market.
I also have the 48 pen holder wallets which are great for displaying them, but I don't feel it protects them well enough when...
