Because the half track I built had some turning involved in the making of it I posted a picture on the WOW site and was lucky enough to have it selected for the cover photo of the day.
Well yesterday I took a day off of making sawdust and I can tell you it has knocked me for six, so much that today I am taking a day of rest from the shed as I would not be happy playing with power tools.
And here is why I took yesterday off.

After a fantastic haul from Grumps (Brian) i made a few pens...and a commission for 1 .50BMG it has lead to two more....happy days
Well half good and half bad day.
Thought I would turn two bowls today all started great remounted the first and returned the foot and outside stopped for a cuppa sat at the computer and it crashed big time.
Spent the day re-booting to factory setting so this took the whole day so while...
Well even with the chip extractor running when I am turning I seem to spend 3 times as long clearing up after a turning session only to go out to the shed the following day to start all over again.
Oh well that is the life of a hobby turner:rolling:

Well had a great day today I managed at least 2 hours before having to give up, No turning however as I am still working on the truck, made the clearance lights and the complete tail light board. It will soon be finished and I want to get and turn a pen or two.
This man is a fellow member of the Vietnam Veterans Assn owned the property we spent a wonderful day enjoying.

We are nearing ANZAC day in Oz and for me a time of rememberance and thanks to those who have fought for our country. I always make bullet pens for the troops.
I attempted to cover most of our camo colours. Pens sitting on Silky Oak and Budgeroo Platter.

This was a nice project. I must start to colour the brass tubes when using resin. I think I could of left the resin another day before turning, it felt a little soft.
