My first Dragon pen. After all the problems I've had this week I am happy this turned out OK.

Drilled on the new drill press, and turned using sharp chisels (on my new sharpener). Turned a treat. Very happy with this pen.

I had so much fun making these,very happy with my turning this kit for the first time of all the kits I have used these have the most offering in appearance especially toward the nib area where it is relatively short and neat, pens with extended areas of uneven shape there worry me. Wondering...

First time I have used the new Bosch Pillar drill to drill out the blanks. I have to say it was a lot easier than when I did it on the lathe, so I'm a happy camper now :-)

I turned this pen from Cocobolo for a good friend the aluminium inlay representing the Christmas star, thankfully she was very happy with it. Even with the light tent I couldn't eradicate completely the shadow from the star which makes it look like there's a break in the aluminium, which...

At first I really didn't like these things but then as my experience grew (only a little) I realised I could discard some of the bits I didn't like. So far I am quite happy with the results however, I still need to do something about that centre band. Simon

My first attempt at a Mistral pen. So, feeling a bit apprehensive, I thought, to hell with it, and went for it with a new acrylic I have never used before also! Overall, I'm happy with both the kit and the dressing! Damn, I'm clearly going to have to buy some more! :-) Adie

Took a break from the pens to make a few bottle stoppers. IMG_2552 "Frosty" needs a few tweeks, but as he's the first I'm happy enough.
