I haven't posted for a while because I haven't made many pens for a while. I have been busy with lots of other things. This Beaufort Mistral was made today to commission for a gentleman who wanted a walnut pen with a Bock 1.1mm "italic" calligraphy nib. Finished with melamine lacquer.

Worked on this for a while, not easy to get the cap section out of the vintage material All about diameters. Just did it! Cellulose acetate is is lovely to turn, and I love this particular variety. Combined with the classic lines of the Mistral, this pen evokes the age of the fountain pen! Peter

I met an ex head-teacher who wanted a pen "like she had when she was at school". She has a special birthday this month and commissioned this as a treat to herself. Supplied with italic nibs because she wants to write nicely again! Presented in a gorgeous Olive box from silver :drool:

My nephew and his beautiful fiancee are getting married in a couple of weeks, so I have made them this Mistral fountain pen dressed in pearl-white acrylic, presented in a fabulous Beech box made by silver. He was kind enough to laser-engrave it while I watched - fabulous!
