    A few bowls

My normal business is very quiet. My main customer is suffering so it affects me as well. So while I am a bit idle I got to making some stuff for a Xmas fair. Not done much turning as making wooden models Now they are finished I can get back to turning a little more. This was just a case of having a play with a new tool for hollowing and at the same time I thought I would add some very subtle twists to the piece. Made with Yew and stands 6" and 3...

    Hollowing tools

Hi all, I fancy doing some hollowing but not sure what tool I should buy, They all seem very expensive so I really need to purchase the right one. There is a plethora of tools available so spoilt for choice but also very daunting. All I wish to do is hollow some medium size vases and maybe...

    Root Beer Kitless

This one is a little simpler than the last one I shared, much less work with less furniture, (i.e. no clips or rings). I must say the Kirinite blanks really are lovely to work with and, provided you sand properly, they polish up to a fabulous shine. This is Root Beer with Black Pearl accents...

I bought online a really nice carbide square tool the other day for about £27 with postage. And looking online they also go up to the £100ish. I’m awful at sharpening chisels so find swapping the heads on the tool better. But then I took a look and thought ‘I could make that’ After all I can...
