I don't have kids yet. Let's get my wedding and mine and the Mrs' flat purchase sorted first!

In that case sell everything you can to get the best lathe possible as when you are married and kids start to come along, there will not be any money available for essentials only for mortgage, food, bills and designer clothes for the kids:bwink:

She had a budget of £300 for the dress. She ended up spending what I wanted to spend on the whole wedding...

Kids won't be having designer clothes, that's for sure!

Please come back and give us an update when the children come along, it sounds like you have such a learning curve in front of you:funny:

Me and my Missus spent £25 on a second hand wedding dress, £30 for registry office and around £50 on catering....been married for 18yrs. Brother in law spent £3000 on wedding dress for future wife, £5000 reception, honeymoon £2500 and lasted less than a year.

If your both happy, other things come along as you can afford it.

The CMMs' wedding ring cost £11. Since then its cost me £++++++++++++. Get a lathe... priority then you'll have a happy marriage. :funny:

I've been happily married now for 2 years.... not bad out of 34 is it. A day here and there and it soon adds up :funny:
