I do believe you have provided the fountain pen I want to have for personal use. Looking forward to the production date.
Gosh, coming from you Terry, I take that as quite a compliment. Thank you.I do believe you have provided the fountain pen I want to have for personal use. Looking forward to the production date.
Probably 0.7mm to begin with Mark. I may also make 0.5mm available in the fullness of time depending on demand.
Thanks for asking the question. Though it might seem conceited to say so, I like to think that Beaufort Ink leads the way in the UK regarding what goes on INSIDE a pen kit. Yes, you can rest assured that high street "standard international" cartridges will fit.
The preices aren't finalised yet Graeme, but you should get change from twenty quid for the fountain pen, and a bit more change for the rollerball.
Yes, they'res non-postable Dan
They are 25/64 and 15/32 Bob.
What is non postable?
A postable pen has a thread on the finial on the barrel at the opposite end to the nib, so that the cap can be screwed on to it whilst you're writing. A non-postable pen doesn't have that thread, so the cap is placed in the desk whilst you're writing. What is non postable?
Hopefully within the next four to six weeks Bob. If anything slows things down it will be the FP nibs I expect, but the rollerballs should be good to go at the very least. What's your target date for availability Phil?
The ball is already rolling on both fronts NeilInteresting Mr. Dart. Will there be an option of Beaufort cartridges or bottled ink to follow?
I will put you forward for a knighthood!
The timescale for the ballpoint and pencil will be probably another 4 to 6 weeks on top of the FP and RB. I haven't yet received the prototype samples let alone the finished samples. The fountain pen and roller ball look exquisite. I look forward to seeing the finished trial pens and hearing the opinions of those who made them.
This seems like the answer to a prayer. As you may have seen from another thread, I have a customer who wants a quality fountain pen, ballpoint and pencil set (my second request for this in the last few months.) My hope is that the customer is prepared to wait until your set it available. I was intending to go to Axminster in North Shields on Tuesday to buy an Artisan set. If the customer is in no hurry, I will abort that trip and wait for your Mistral set (nice name by the way.)
Any idea what the timescale will be for the full set becoming available?
As others have said, a problem with most of the pencil kits on the market is the unreliable operation of the pencil mechanism. Have you managed to overcome this? If so, I will put you forward for a knighthood!
Don't do that Bob. His increase in power will enable him to make the alder an extinct species.
Thanks for your comments Peter. The ring you see is a symptom of a poor photograph. There is a sprung gasket which is compressed between the cap finial and the cap tube, the concept being the same as most other FP/RB kits. The gasket is actually quite substantial, but I agree, in the photo is doesn't look it. Does that answer the question?Liking many features Phil reservation on the oh so thin ring to the clip its not clear how the clip is made. Is there a tiny spacer washer in front of the clip?
