I think it was to get tanked up and hold the chuck with your teeth while keeping your left hand on the stop button, but that might have been a solution to a different question.

I'll wait for the pics Walter, and like the others, appreciate the effort you've put in. I was in Amble last week, should've called in 'cos I had a load of wood in the boot.

I just love this debate (and the others). Try this on some of the other forums and serious fisticuffs would have ensued by the second page of posts followed by reports to the mods and banned members

So Baldy all you need to ask now is what is the correct way to dry wood, what is the correct way to sand it what is the best finish to apply and just for Brian what is the cheapest way to finish a bit of wood

This has been a brilliant thread, educational and funny ! (much better then tv!) Lots of good sense and choices and a really good tutorial (thanks Walter). I must now stop using my cheap pillar drill and try all that I have learnt, especially with wood varieties I have difficulties with.
