Jim I made a set up using a jacob's chuck and transfer punches to be used on a dedicated sander. The photos are on here somewhere and if set up correctly it is foolproof!!!!

The ones Alex linked to look the same but in a different stand.

Are the increments OK Jim? Plan on doing JR Gents,Sierras and Slimlines

No problem with those Matty, if you look in the link i posted above i am using a punch to do the SR Gent pens with the Drill Bit sizes of 14.5mm or 37/64" and 11.5mm or 29/64"

Great..will order those tomorrow, now I can either use my lathe or sander to sand the blanks... the lathe sounds the better option, no alignment issues, variable speed and I don't need to buy a new chuck or make a table but will have to change the sandpaper more regularly

Many thanks guys, this is why this forum is the best around

Also, these punches can just about dissemble any pen kit Matty ..

Great, just what I needed, these will be very useful!

I got given 10 100 grit belts the other day , 5 x 40 and they don't fit my sander so I will cut them up and use them for this, knock the bulk off on my belt sander then use these to clean the edges up!

Put a 3/4 thick piece of scrap oak on a 3 inch unused faceplate today and cut lots of 100 grit sandpaper discs out ready for the arrival of the TP's
