I thought I would share this with you. I'm not that happy with it but wanted to share.
I made the effort to dig out the big DVR from the back of the garage.
This is a first for an number of reasons.
First thing I have turned in about 8 years, first pen I have turned without bushes and first time I have ever attempted a CA finish. When my bushes arrive I will be taking this apart.

Dan, don't give up your day job, that is atrocious. Actually looking at it seriously, after rejecting it out of hand, I noticed that you have a subtle curve on both blanks and it starts to come together, in fact I can't stand that kind of chunky monstrosity, but it is appealing in some way that I don't understand. Can you take a photo with the cap off so we can see it semi-naked:thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:

Seriously it is ok after your layoff although a bit on the chunky side !!!
I agree, when the bushings arrive it will be going back on. Will give me a chance to practice the CA finish. Walter made it look easy in York

Errrm what Woody says ...... Except to add ..... you could have cleaned the bl**dy worktop before taking the photo :funny::funny::funny:
