Aust post has increased theirs price on a standard letter from .70 cents to a $1.00, no idea what parcel prices have increased to?

:rolling: Dunno why you and Peter are complaining Mark :nooidea: Salaries in general are substantially better down under than in the UK but our Royal Mail prices for a standard size letter is 54p - 2nd class and 63p 1st. In your funny money that's $1.13 and $1.31 :sob:

Maybe it's 'cos our posties hardly ever get to wear shorts. :whistling:

Anyone know anything about Penkits uk are they forum members.

Glen

I have used Penkits UK a number of times always (although not recently) good service, never had any problems ..

I think Tony as recently joined the forum, he certainly as a large catalogue of pens available

Note. There is also a pen kit supplier called Pen-Kits UK just to confuse things, again I have used them and again had excellent service from them.

Everything is relative I have been an age pensioner for close on twenty years we send at least twice a year birthday cards and christmas cards to 70 of our Wilmas and mine only family with about a hundred christmas cards plus each year.

We will never be able to equate fairly with your Pound there is no law against posties only WARNINGS against frostbite our mail services are now two to three days one rate another rate when they feel like. So far with our next day parcel delivery to main centres it is still economic. WE not only complain but find solutions and adapt. Trust the rain has eased over in your country and for those in snow areas keep warm. I am off to Church again today the first time for months I feel I will make it through the afternoon safely what a blessing so far with Cancer sitting in the background so far every day looks brighter.

Erhm............ Kent - Northumberland = big difference in temperature Bob.

My missus lived in Rottingdean, Brighton when I first met her. I was there once when the streets had the lightest dusting of snow I've ever seen. The locals stayed home from work and they closed the schools, I took the dog on a 30 minute walk and saw only one other person. :funny:

Does your missus know you're watching the posties' "calf muscles" peter?:funny::funny:

She does, I commented on them a few weeks ago and she agreed that they had come on really well:funny:

Just patched up our postman, a stray dog thought his leg was a bone and yes he is wearing shorts on this freezing cold morning.

That looks nasty Brian. Stray dogs are always a problem and getting worse I think.

The dog was right though, it is a bone isn't it? :whistling:
